Bound Seam Allowances (binding)

A bound seam allowance is a great way to finish the seams of unlined garments. It can also be used as a decorative feature of a garment. The bound seam finish uses strips of fabric cut on the bias; or “bias tape”. The bound seam finish is usually used on unlined garments when a more finished appearance is desired, and can be used as a decorative element.
